This miniature is new made hand painted very fine artwork on artificially aged watercolor paper and looks like old medieval playing cards set.
This item is new made reproduction of the:
– Medieval Painted Stuttgart cards, c.1430. Ducks, falcons, stags and hounds… luxury playing cards from southwest Germany, probably for fashionable esteem. Around 1400 the sport of hunting was part of life at court, as depicted in books and playing cards of the day.
Here you can see 8 of 52 cards with their backs painted into one paper.
Painting is nicely done with great coloring in illuminated manuscript medieval style. The A3 size measures 42.0 x 29.7cm, (16.5 x 11.7 inches). There is no glass, no frame.
It will be a great decoration for an office or apartment interior
